The Guardian Multi-Coverage Plan enables employers with three or more employees to choose from a variety of different lines of coverage and benefit levels at a single rate. Packages can include a combination of long-term disability, short-term disability, life, accidental death and dismemberment and critical illness coverage. The plan gives employers the flexibility to choose which benefit combination is right for their company, and gives employees benefits coverage with a simple enrollment process under a single rate.

Employees generally under estimate the value of the benefits that they are able to receive through their employer. Many times the cost is the biggest factor and reason for why employees choose not to sign up for their ancillary benefits. However,  these ancillary benefits are often the most affordable ways to obtain coverage even when the employer is unable to contribute to the plans themselves.

Every employee should take an advantage in enrolling in the ancillary benefits, because often these benefits are not obtainable on the individual market. For the benefits that are obtainable , they  often require a level of underwriting, or provide scaled back benefits and eliminate the ability to deduct these benefits from their paychecks.
